Villa in Vivlos, Naxos
The architectural identity of the building—defined by Cycladic white volumes and sloping walls inspired by traditional ‘pyrgospita’—presented a unique creative challenge. The goal was to reveal these inclined surfaces and their distinct geometry without overwhelming the landscape.
Using pebble-like floor fixtures, the lighting design bathes the sloping walls in a gentle, diffused glow, emphasizing their form and texture. Across the stone walls and lush surroundings, the lighting remains minimal, introducing subtle notes that respect the island’s nocturnal atmosphere.
Inside, the dialogue between discreet architectural lighting and contemporary design fixtures reinforces the space’s scenography, blending technical precision with a deeply personal, atmospheric touch.
